What are the rules for using a Zoox robotaxi?

From inside the robotaxi, doors can be opened and closed during pickup or drop-off using the touchscreen.
You can also press the Help icon on the touchscreen or the overhead Emergency Call Button to connect to Zoox Support. You can also call or text 1-888-477-5055.
If you need to open the doors in an emergency and the above methods do not work, you can use the Emergency Door Handle on the far left of each seat row between the side seat panel and the window. Simultaneously, pull up the handle with your left hand and push the door closest to the handle with your right hand.

If I’m inside the robotaxi, how can I open the doors?

Yes. The robotaxi won&rsquo;t move until all riders are wearing their seatbelts. Please stay seated and buckled at all times, even when the robotaxi isn&rsquo;t moving.&nbsp;

Do I have to wear a seat belt?

Use the touchscreen to close the doors. Make sure everyone is seated and buckled, then press the start ride button on the touchscreen.&nbsp;

How do I start my ride?

Call 911 if there is a life-threatening emergency. For non-life-threatening emergencies, contact Zoox Support using one of the methods below:&nbsp;

<li>An Emergency Call Button is located above your seat (labeled with the braille word &ldquo;Emerg&rdquo; on the button). Pressing this button will connect you to Zoox Support.</li>

When should I contact Zoox Support?

Press the Emergency Call Button overhead. This will connect you to Zoox Support, who can pull the robotaxi over to a safe place.
You can also call or text Zoox Support at 1-888-477-5055.

How do I stop the Zoox robotaxi in an emergency?

Call 911 for medical problems, injuries, or if there&rsquo;s a life-threatening emergency.

Where can I learn more about the Zoox robotaxi?

Trained service dogs are welcome. Unfortunately, we can&rsquo;t accommodate pets or emotional support dogs. For safety, we ask that you keep your service dog on the floor during the ride. You may want to consider bringing a dog seat belt attachment to use with the robotaxi&rsquo;s seat belt buckle.
