Get ready to roll! We’re excited to announce our partnership with the legendary Formula One (F1) racing team, Williams Racing. This marks a historic first: a multiseason collaboration between a robotaxi company and an F1 racing team.

Different vehicles, aligned values

At first glance, F1 racing and autonomous robotaxis seem worlds apart. F1 is about achieving high performance and speedy competition of the best human drivers in the world. On the other hand, Zoox does not rely on human drivers to operate our robotaxi. However, we share a deep pursuit of developing cutting-edge technology that, when combined with a rider-centric design, creates an unparalleled mobility experience.

We also deeply connect with the core philosophy at Williams Racing. As one of the longest-standing F1 teams, since its formation in 1977, Williams Racing has retained a courageous, humble, and trustworthy culture. We greatly admire these values, as they complement and mirror how we have approached building our company and our robotaxi service.

Formula 1 is experiencing explosive growth, especially in the United States. In fact, the majority of new fans come from the United States. Since early 2024, F1’s social media following has grown by 25%, with its F1 TV streaming service up 40%. This partnership with Williams Racing is an opportunity for Zoox to connect with both local and global fans who are passionate about new technology and transformative mobility experiences. 

F1 racing fans are passionate about their sport and the technology and engineering innovations behind it. Partnering with this iconic team is an exciting opportunity to highlight how Zoox values precision and technology in our fleet. A one-of-a-kind partnership

Zoox will join Williams Racing at key F1 U.S. events, including the Grand Prix races in Las Vegas, Miami, and Austin – three cities that are also current testing markets for Zoox testing. If you’re headed to the November 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix, look out for us at the Williams Racing Fan Zone on the Brooklyn Bridge at the New York-New York Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.
