Design and build the platform that all Zoox IT infrastructure is built on such as systems handling large volumes of data and data processing pipelines performing compute intensive tasks on CPUs and GPUs. You'll help craft processes and tooling that will allow Zoox to scale specialized on-premises and cloud-based workloads required by our self-driving vehicle service.
Responsibilities
Building and maintaining Zoox's IT infrastructure platform
Be heavily involved in all phases of rolling out services and designing systems that are robust and easy to maintain and operate
Serve as an escalation contact for service incidents
Qualifications
Engineering degree, related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
Experience with automation, infrastructure as code, and SDLC using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Git, Mercurial, and pull requests
Experience in configuration and maintenance of Linux/Unix applications such as web servers, load balancers, storage systems, databases
Experience coding in higher-level languages such as Python
Experience with virtualization technologies & tools such as KVM, Docker, or LXC
