At Zoox we have set the goal to provide our customers with a premium ride experience when using our fully autonomous vehicles. The introduction of self-driving technologies and other unique characteristics of mobility-as-a-service presents several opportunities in the energy management field. You will work with a team of world-class engineers with diverse backgrounds such as robotics, control, and vehicle engineering. The role is to lead the energy simulation for a complete vehicle, including electrical powertrain, high voltage battery, thermal, low voltage systems, computing and all advanced systems used in autonomous driving. You will work with the Energy Attribute leader, simulation engineers and diverse cross-functional teams to support full vehicle energy management.
Develop and improve energy model simulations using Simulink and CarMaker
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate sub-system models into the full vehicle model
Test and simulation correlation for full vehicle and sub-system
Run energy sensitivity analysis, de-rating strategies and other simulations to support full vehicle energy management.
Master’s degree in engineering, physics, or related field
Experience in energy model build and simulation
Experience in electrical system modeling and simulation
Desirable simulation/modeling experience with CarMaker
Experience using Simulink & Simulink Coder
Experience working with Git
Working knowledge of C/C++
Ability to pick up new software/simulation concepts quickly
