Vaccine Requirement
The Electrical Systems Engineer, Vehicle Development is required to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. An applicant is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine. Applicants will be required to show proof of vaccination status upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment. That conditional offer of employment will be conditioned upon, among other things, an Applicant’s ability to show proof of vaccination status. Please note the Company provides reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable state, federal and local laws. 

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with hardware engineering teams and suppliers to obtain harness relevant data
  • Own and design vehicle wiring diagrams
  • Collaborate with design engineers to develop wiring harness drawings
  • Work with the different teams across the company to calculate the appropriate wire sizes and select connectors
  • Wire Harness troubleshooting experience
  • Work with harness suppliers to ensure the availability of connectors and wire specifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science Engineering
  • 3+ years working and troubleshooting automotive wire harnesses 
  • Experience using Capital Logic, Zuken E3, or VeSys to create vehicle electrical diagrams
  • Experience using 3DX, Catia V5 or similar
  • Ability to work under pressure to accomplish company milestones
  • Work with techs and testing engineers to design test bots as needed
  • Automotive wire harness manufacturing experience
  • Work with Firmware and Integration teams to develop the Vehicle Topology and Architecture
  • CAN bus, LIN, and Automotive network experience
  • Safety cases design experience for electrical ECU’s
  • Understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and thermal system architecture
