The Client Services team is responsible for Zoox’s employee-facing and commonly used IT services.  A successful Client Services Engineer will have strong time management, interpersonal, and troubleshooting skills. This individual will work with a team of infrastructure engineers, developers, and client service technicians to troubleshoot issues, automate redundant tasks and improve the efficiency of the Client Services team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for all end user technology while in-person or via email and Slack.
  • Deploy and maintain conference room systems and other office hardware.
  • Research, install/implement, and upgrade internal systems and Saas platforms.
  • Purchase hardware and software and contribute to quarterly financial planning.
  • Work on client-side security projects to improve the security of maintained systems.
  • Potential travel required to support various locations within the Bay Area.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, queue, and other assignments.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar IT Support /Admin role.
  • Windows 10, Ubuntu, Chrome OS, and macOS troubleshooting experience.
  • Familiarity with client level virtualization software (VirtualBox, Parallels, etc.)
  • Proven skills with G Suite products.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPN, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
  • Solid understanding around certificates and endpoint security.
  • Experience with Jira / Confluence or similar ticketing and wiki services.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP account administration.
  • Strong knowledge around endpoint management tooling (SCCM/Intune, Jamf, etc.)
  • 1-2 years of scripting experience (bash, python, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Experience with Single Sign-On providers with multi-factor authentication
