At Zoox we have set the goal to provide our customers with the highest level of safety while using our fully autonomous vehicles. You will work with a team of world-class engineers with diverse backgrounds such as robotics, control, and vehicle engineering, to deliver the vehicle performance using virtual tools and methodologies. In taking on the Program Manager Vehicle Operations role, you will lead the effort schedule test assets to maximize their usage and satisfy testing requests, and extract the maximum information from our test vehicle fleet to support decisions on vehicle uptime and development design decisions. Responsibilities

  • Align engineering development teams on usage of the test vehicle fleet in terms of scheduling, locations, and preparedness, while optimizing for maximum vehicle uptime
  • Scope the possibilities for a database that shows the current health, usage and status of the test vehicle fleet
  • Determine metrics that support improving test vehicle uptime and design decision making
  • Align the organization so that information collection is standardized and uniform
  • Define the tools required to collect and report the database information
  • Lead development of the database with IT
  • Report regularly on the project status
  • Own test fleet schedule, assuring readiness of each vehicle, and test teams are supported
  • Provide project management expertise to execute a company-wide test vehicle fleet database
  • Optimize test fleet schedule in terms of usage and uptime

Qualifications

  • BS or equivalent in Engineering
  • 5+ years of hands on experience in developing vehicles in an engineering or manufacturing capacity
  • Familiarity with JIRA and MS tools
  • Knowledge of Python or other tools to utilize data to its maximum potential
  • Detailed understanding of automotive testing and development
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional management skills to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills
