The Vehicle Development Electrical Engineering team at Zoox is responsible for the design, development, and production of electrical hardware specifically tailored for our autonomous mobility service, including harnesses, ECU’s, infotainment systems, telematics, sensor integration, and sensor cleaning systems.

As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will support multiple projects, working with cross-functional teams to meet vehicle and company milestones. You will work with engineers and suppliers to define timelines and track deliverables; identify, mitigate, and escalate challenges and risks; support budget planning activities; and communicate progress. The TPM amplifies the efficacy of the engineering team and works to improve and minimize processes to get work done. Responsibilities

  • You will develop schedules and work with suppliers, engineers, quality, procurement, and other teams to drive open issues to closure and ensure projects deliver on time
  • You will identify and communicate program challenges and risks while proactively developing and continually updating mitigation plans with engineering
  • You will generate reports and presentations to provide concise and effective communication to stakeholders to drive decisions or raise awareness of progress, issues, risks, and accomplishments
  • You will lead change management process coordination with all stakeholders

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of engineering experience plus 5+ years of program management
  • Familiarity with electronic hardware and firmware product development and manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated delivery of components with external design suppliers and contract manufacturers
  • Strong track record in managing complex cross-functional projects
  • Proficient in tools required to manage complex projects (i.e. issue tracking, Gantt charts, ERP, PLM, ALM)
  • Ability to see the big picture, yet manage details, and appropriately tailor your message for the audience

  • Automotive or aerospace electrical component or systems experience
  • New Product Introduction experience
  • Passion for electric, autonomous mobility
