The Security Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of physical security programs to help the company keep all personnel and Zoox property safe and secure at several locations around the San Francisco Bay Area, Las Vegas, and the UK. This includes managing a small team, managing vendors, documenting standards, developing training materials, delivering training, auditing, investigations, and partnering with internal organizations within the office, R&D, manufacturing, auto service, machine shops, hardware labs and test tracks. This role will report to the Manager, EHS & Security.
Lead the development, implementation, training and enforcement of company security policies and procedures
Manage the current security team
Perform and appropriately document investigations and risk assessments
Oversee access control and badge management
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure they are meeting company standards while providing the necessary support
Manage security vendors including guard force management alarm monitoring company and ensure their performance is meeting contractual requirements
Manage successful completion of security projects in coordination with the Places and Build (Facilities) team
Development of a workplace violence prevention and response program
Development and implementation of travel security and executive protection programs
Coordination and relationship building with local law enforcement
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
10+ years of relevant professional experience including 5+ years of people management experience
Experience in corporate security, law enforcement or military operations
Experience using access control management systems and CCTV systems
Experience with emergency communications and escalation processes
Experience performing investigations, including a background in interviewing
Must have effective written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude
Professional security industry certification such as APP, CPP, CFI, CFE and/or PSP
Bachelor's degree and/or military experience
