This role will be responsible for driving Zoox’s sustainability initiatives. This will include collecting and analyzing key data sets involving GHG emissions, energy, as well other sustainability-related data, supporting cross-functional partners’ sustainability projects, monitoring and tracking Climate Pledge action plans, coordinating and aligning with parent-company sustainability teams,  identifying and managing key third-party sustainability relationships, and updating executives on overall sustainability activities, goals, and obstacles. A Sustainability Manager who can operate independently and possess expertise in GHG accounting, Scope 3 emission actions, renewable electricity procurement, ESG measurement, circular economy strategies, Life-Cycle Accounting, and Assessments, or energy efficiency projects is highly desirable.


  • Develop Zoox’s annual Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory
  • Identify and pursue resource and material management initiatives including programs focused on energy efficiency, waste management, and circular economy endeavors 
  • Execute key GHG reduction initiatives in pursuit of Zoox’s Climate Pledge goal and GHG Reduction strategy
  • Support cross-functional members in developing and executing sustainability programs
  • Develop Zoox’s sustainability information system and processes, identifying and carrying out opportunities to optimize data collection and reporting
  • Coordinate with key suppliers to pursue key Scope 3 emission reduction initiatives
  • Lead implementation of supplier ESG evaluation and monitoring platform


  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, business, environmental studies, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of overall experience and 3+ years of experience in a sustainability-focused role
  • Experience driving sustainability strategy and related programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve business objectives
  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem-solve
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders


  • Master’s degree in business, environmental studies, sustainability, or equivalent
  • Experience with driving GHG reduction programs at a technology/manufacturing company
  • Technical abilities around organizing and analyzing data including strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Vaccine Mandate
