Fremont, CA • Full-time Electrical - Field Quality Engineer

The Field Quality Engineer will support the Field Quality Team. The Quality Engineer will develop, document, and implement troubleshooting and investigatory methods for Zoox vehicle components. This position will foster strong cross-functional partnerships to improve Zoox products and the customer experience. The Engineer will use their technical background to perform failure analysis on vehicles and at the bench, record their findings, and communicate critical information to the cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

Develop and document troubleshooting test methods with cross-functional teams to root cause of failed components
Coordinate with the BaseOps team on field containments
Design review and feedback to respective design teams
Specify and source new equipment for failure analysis
Work with the Reliability Team to identify and communicate trends within Zoox
Create/update quality documentation
Drive investigations and product/process improvements

Qualifications

B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline
6+ years experience in automotive, EV, or aerospace
Ability to read technical drawings and understand CAD models
Broad technical background with mechanical and electrical systems
Strong failure analysis abilities and poke-yoke
Experience performing root cause analysis on electrical and mechanical systems
Ability to effectively communicate investigation findings and technical information

Vaccine Mandate
