The Prototyping (xOps) Additive Manufacturing Technician serves a crucial role within the Prototyping organization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the AM lab is able to deliver high-quality 3D printed and Laser Cut parts and assemblies to our engineers. Their daily responsibilities will include: post-processing of parts, setting up builds, scheduled maintenance, and general lab upkeep. A candidate for this role does not need to have a background in AM (although it is a bonus) The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn, is self-motivated and highly organized.
Responsibilities
Post-processing parts from FDM, SLA, SLS, Polyjet, and Lasercutter
Setting up builds using several different software suites
Assembly and finishing of parts
Daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of machines and ancillary equipment
Updating and closing AM JIRA requests
Qualifications
Highly organized and able to jump from task to task quickly
Can do attitude
Motivated to learn
Strong communication skills
Bonus Qualifications
CAD software (Solidworks, Catia, 3DX)
Experience using Additive Manufacturing machines
Machine and Fabrication shop experience
JIRA, Confluence
Experience with injection molding / mold making
